Spring is finally here! We could spend this time talking about the long winter (a record one, in fact), but we also know that topic is probably exhausted. In fact, everyone knows that GREEN is the new BLACK. To keep up with the times everyone is trying to “go green.” However, it’s not just about going green; it’s about staying green and supporting the green lifestyle wholeheartedly. As we lead into spring, let’s take a look at some of the things Spring-Green does to live up to its name.
Spring-Green has accomplished great things for not only the people associated with the organization, but also for the environment and the communities we live and work in.
We’ve been a leader in the green industry promoting education, certification programs and industry standards. Today the association is named PLANET (Professional Land Care Network) and it continues to serve the green industry by providing those same services as well as promoting best practices and environmental responsibility. We’re also a proud supporter of Project Evergreen, whose mission is to raise awareness of the environmental, economic and lifestyle benefits of landscapes and promote the significance of those who preserve and enhance green spaces at home, work and play.
As part of our initiative to increase awareness of our tree programs, we’ve also formed an alliance with the Arbor Day Foundation and will be planting a minimum of 10,000 trees this year. Franchise owners have also been involved in Green Care for Troops where they helped maintain lawns while our soldiers are deployed overseas and away from their families.
Staying true to our name, we plan on continuing to spread our passion for the green mission with all of the members of our communities and we hope you will too!
