Did you know Friday, June 21 is the official first day of summer? Despite what the calendar might say, the lawn care season is already at the halfway point which means it’s time to step back and assess progress.

Spring-Green customers across the country will soon be receiving their personalized mid-season lawn evaluation from their Spring-Green Lawn Care professional. Spring-Green’s evaluations give owners a checklist of what services have been provided since the start of the season, an analysis of how the lawn is growing and tips to improve the overall health of their lawn and trees. Turf color and density are measured and homeowners are alerted to any diseases that should be treated in the second half of the season.

If Mother Nature hasn’t been cooperating with ample rain fall, homeowners may have had to step in and do their own watering. And if homeowners haven’t kept up with watering, it’s possible dead spots could be prevalent. While the middle of the lawn care season is not the best time for seeding (a hot environment doesn’t allow seeds to germanate and establish strong rooting), your Spring-Green professional will establish a fall plan to help your lawn regrow and look great the next spring.
